DeepLink FAQ
What does the title bar mean?
- The first part(LAPTOP-SJ44A9HM) is the hostname of the controlled computer.
- The second part(P2P) refers to the network connection method. It includes two types: P2P and Relay. P2P means that the control machine and the controlled machine are directly connected over the network, while Relay requires passing through our relay server. In most cases, P2P will offer better latency and clarity than Relay.
- The Third part(HEVC GPU:GPU) represents the video encoding codec, including (AVC, HEVC, AV1), We will prioritize using the newer encoding algorithms. The following part indicates the resources used for computation, including (GPU, CPU). The first part refers to the controlled machine, and the second part refers to the controlling machine. We will make every effort to utilize the GPU's computing power to reduce latency.
- The last part NO NFT is a reminder that purchasing the NFT will unlock many advanced features. For more details, please refer to NFT.
The gaming mouse is not available
- Some games or applications do not require the game mouse mode to be enabled for input. This is an NFT feature. Please refer to NFT.
It is possible to use a physical controller?
- We support physical controllers such as the Xbox 360 and PS4 controllers. After purchasing the NFT, you can use them plug-and-play.
How can streaming achieve 240 FPS?
- Both displays need to support 240 FPS to achieve it. If a virtual display is used, only the controlling side needs to meet this requirement. Additionally, a fast network connection is necessary. Lastly, our free version is limited to 60 FPS; higher FPS requie support physical controllers such as the Xbox 360 and PS4 controllers. After purchasing the NFT.
Does Deeplink support file transfer functionality?
- We support file transfer, and it’s very fast, capable of fully utilizing the available bandwidth, up to 600Mbps In a 1Gbps LAN. Additionally, we also support text and image transfer. You just need to use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, or the "Copy" and "Paste" options in the menu on both ends.
How does Deeplink support macOS and Linux?
- We currently support cross-platform control through RTC. macOS, Linux, iOS, and other platforms can access our RTC website via a browser for remote connection.
Everyone says it's smooth and clear, but I experience lag and blurriness. What should I do?
- Latency depends on the physical distance. The speed of light in fiber optics is 200,000 km/s, so longer distances will inevitably result in higher latency. Additionally, if the network environment is poor, we prioritize smoothness by reducing the image quality.
- If the title bar shows "Relay" instead of "P2P," it might be because we don’t have a server deployed in your area, even though we’ve already deployed hundreds of nodes worldwide. In such cases, you can inform our customer support team of your specific location, and we will consider adding a node server in your area.
Where is your log file path located?
- You can open the %appdata%/deeplink/log directory to view our log files.
Why can't I see video content when watching certain videos on the remote host?
- This is caused by HDCP. You can resolve it by disabling hardware acceleration in the browser.
Error "d3d9 failed, try install d3d9", what should be done?
We do not support Windows 7. If you are using a Windows 7 environment, please upgrade to Windows 10 or above.
If you are using Windows 10, you can download and install from the link below.

Why can't I use the controller when connected remotely? How can I troubleshoot this?
controller requires NFT.
If it doesn't work, please open the Gamepad Tester page on the controlled device's browser, then operate on the control device to see if it works.
If it works here, it means the game has certain restrictions. Try starting the game first or operating the joystick before launching the game to see if it works. You can also let us know the specific game, and we will attempt to reproduce the issue.
How can I increase fps to 120 or higher?
>60 FPS requires NFT, which can only be activated after purchase.
If you have already purchased it, the monitors on both ends need to match, and the refresh rates of both the controlled and the controlling sides must be higher than 60.
If there is no monitor on the controlled side, we will automatically match it.
